BUDGIT SENEGAL is a civic organization that applies technology to cross citizen engagement with institutional improvement to facilitate societal change. BudgIT uses a set of technological tools to simplify public budgets and spending issues for citizens, with the primary goal of raising the level of transparency and accountability of government.

The organization is one of five international BUDGIT entities based in five African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Senegal and the United States. 

Our philosophy is to empower citizens to own public information, primarily (financial information), and track public investments in the budget and advocate for transparency and accountability in management and promotion of good governance.
